Chad and I had to take pictures of Layla in her "Grandpa's Girl" onesie, since she is going to outgrow it soon. These pictures are especially for her Grandpop Noel and Grandpa Prelog:-)

One Month Check-up

Yesterday Layla went in to see Dr. Pat for her 1 month check. She is growing so much. She weighed in at 9lb 11oz :-) and 20.8 inches in length, which puts her still at the 50th percentile. She takes after her Daddy and has a Big head..;-), she is at the 90th percentile for her head circumference. I had to take pictures of Layla's one month appointment. Since I previously worked for Dr. Pat everyone that works there just loves Layla SO much. I really enjoyed working there and especially working with Cassidy ;-)(the other medical assistant) Here are a few pictures of her check-up:

Layla has been doing great! She will have her 1 month appointment to see Dr. Pat on Monday, March 29th!! She will be just a few days shy of 1 month. I can't believe how the time has flown by. Everyone keeps telling me that and now I understand.

Layla still has a bump on the back of her head from the suction, but it has gone down significantly. She has already out grown some of her newborn onesies and sleepers....they are a little to tight.

Layla and I have been going on walks everyday....since its nice here in Florida!! Sorry everyone back in Wisconsin;-) We are now anxiously awaiting a visit from my brother and his family. Layla can't wait to meet her cousins; Nicholas, Amber, Joshua and her Uncle Tim and Aunt Lisa. They will be arriving the day before Easter and staying till the following Friday. We are so excited!!!

I had to post a picture of Layla's first (and probably last!) Juicy Couture jumpsuit. It was a gift from Chad's co-workers/friends Stacy and Joel. I don't even own any Juicy clothes!!! They also got Layla the beautiful blanket. Thank you Stacy and Joel!

Presents for Layla!

Since we have gotten home from the hospital Layla has been receiving gifts from family, friends, and people that Chad works with. We want to thank everyone for the wonderful gifts!

Appointment w/ Dr. Pat & Grammy Noel visits!

Layla had her 2 week check up last Friday. She has been gaining weight right on track. She weighs 8lb 2oz, which puts her at the 50% percentile. She is right on the curve:-) Dr. Pat said that her jaundice looks good and her color is much better. She still has trush so we need to give her medication everyday now till her next appointment. She also still has a bump on her head from the delivery. Dr. Pat says that may take awhile to go away. Other than that she is doing great!! We just love our little Layla. 


I have not posted in awhile because we had a very special person visiting Layla...Grammy Noel.  Chad and I are so very thankful for all her help.

I forgot to mention in my other posts that Layla shares a birthday with a very special person....her Great Grammy Noel, who turned 90 years old on March 2nd! Great Grammy was so excited....what a birthday present!

We were discharged from the hospital on Wednesday afternoon. Dr. Pat (our Pediatrician) came to visit and take a look at Layla, she said that she looked good and decided we could be discharged a day early.  Layla is in good hands with Dr. Pat.... I worked for her as her Medical Assistant for almost a year.

We are now at home and the dogs are trying to adjust to her. They really like to smell her. 

Yesterday was her first appointment with Dr. Pat. When she left the hospital her discharge weight was 7lb 3oz. When we weighed her at the drs. office she weighed 7lb 5oz, which is great! Dr. Pat checked her out and said that her jaundice would possibly last for up to a few weeks. She also has thrush and was prescribed some medication......already:-)
