The Easter Bunny!!

Layla was finally feeling much better! And the potty training is going great!! Just had to get over the first few days...when you want to quit so bad. But we pressed on and now she has no wee-wee accidents anymore:-) She has gone poop a few times on the potty but we are still working on it;-)

We were planning on visiting the Easter Bunny soon but when we went to the mall just to buy shoes....there was No line to see the Bunny! So we of course had to say HI! Layla was a bit shy but wanted to sit on his lap!
After we left Layla kept waving and saying "Good-bye Easter Bunny"

Hello Kitty gifts from Auntie Nichol!

Layla got her Birthday present from Auntie Nichol while she was sick! It was a nice surprise for her...it made her feel all better:-) Thank you so much it was SO very thoughtful! We Love You!

Potty Training!!

We started potty training Layla! We are doing the cold turkey method...just going straight into underwear, no pull-ups! First thing in the morning Layla got to "throw away" all her diapers, cause she is a Big Girl now and going to wear underwear!

Potty training is such a challenge but Layla is doing great despite the fact that on the second day she started to have a bad cough:-( On the third day she broke out in hives all over her body. We took her into Dr. Mahoney and found out that she was on the start of having pneumonia and also had a allergic reaction to the amoxicillin that she was taking for her ear infection...poor Layla:-( Dr. Mahoney switched her to a new antibiotic and we have to go for a re-check this week.

Fun With Nate!

We went over to Layla's friend Nate's house for a play date! He also gave Layla her Birthday Present! We had a blast!!

Layla's 2 Year Dr. Apt!!

When we got back from Wisconsin Layla had her 2 year Dr. appointment with Dr. Mahoney! (Of course I forgot my camera) Layla really likes her Dr. (and so do I)! This was her first well check with her new Dr.! We have seen her twice for sick visits. Layla knows where her Dr. office is, so when we drive by it, she points at it and says "Layla Dr. is right there" "I like Dr. Honey"!! 

Layla did great at her appointment, but has become shy with strangers in the last few months! But she opened up to her quickly;-) Dr. Mahoney says she is doing Great! She couldn't believe how much she speaks/words in a row and that her memory is remarkable! She says she is one smart little girl! 

She is now on 2% milk! and she can try peanut butter soon, but I am going to wait a little bit since our family history with food allergies!

The day before her appointment Layla came down with a cold, and when we were at the Dr. she said Layla had an ear infection:-( Her very first infection, and I had no idea, Layla showed no signs.

Layla had no shots this visit...she is all up to date!

Height...34 1/4 inches (60 percentile)
Head Cir....19 1/2cm (92 percentile...still a big head)!

• Can count to 10
• Knows all her colors! and when you ask what is her favorite "purple" 
• Says the names of most of her books!
• Can read some of her books pages...by memory;-)
• Says Please, Thank You, and excuse me! It melts my heart;-)
• Can say well over a hundred words!
• Says anywhere from 3-8 word sentences
• Her memory is unbelievable! I pulled out an outfit a few weeks ago and she said "I wear that when I see Santa"...and it was the outfit she wore when she sat on Santa's lap!
• Loves Red Peppers!
• Loves Hello Kitty, Maisy, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Tinkerbell!
• Is fascinated with Babies!
• Loves to Dance!!
• Is SO silly!;-)

Fun Weekend with Pop!

When Grandpop was in town for the weekend we went and had some fun...for Layla;-) We went to Recreations Outlet which is a warehouse that sells outdoor equipment, swing sets and Layla's favorite...trampolines!! Three times a week it has free open gym for kids to play on everything...it's awesome!! We went there for a few hours...Layla loves it there!

 Layla is so good about waiting her turn to go down a slide or to give someone else a turn when she is on the trampoline!

And we went to the Zoo!

 Layla loves this "boat" in the Manatee area! Look its Jack Hanna! He designed and is head of the Columbus Zoo!

 Layla got to ride her favorite...twice!!

It was the first time it was open since the Fall;-)

 Layla chose to sit on her second ride!

We had a great time with Grandpop! Thanks for driving us back home! Layla really misses her Pop! Ever since he left she says just about everyday..."I miss Grandpop", It breaks my heart:-( We can't wait for your next visit!
