Daddy, Layla and Grandpa Steve all went up north for a night! Grandpa Steve has a house up north....and a boat Layla couldn't wait to go on! They had a great time:-)

Summerfest!

We decided to take Layla to Summerfest, since Chad got some free tickets through work! We haven't been there since we moved out of state. We walked around, ate some food and Layla went down a few slides;-) Layla enjoyed people watching...and so did we!! There is actually a big kids area...never new it existed;-)

Cousin Joshua's 4th Birthday Party!

Layla was SO excited to be able to go to her cousin Joshua's 4th birthday party! It was a superhero theme party! Layla knows all about Batman and Spider-man now because of her cousin;-) The party started by everyone making their own mask!

Layla played Amber's piano and sang Happy Birthday to Joshua...which ended in "I Love You". It was SO cute...melted my heart!

4th of July in Wisconsin!

The 4th of July was a HOT one this year! We were going to meet my Brother and his family at the New Berlin Parade...but since it was so hot we decided not too. Instead we went to the Wauwatosa Parade in the morning...to beat the heat! Grammy and Grandpop joined us! Layla Loved it! Especially the men that drove the mini beetles, which did figure eights!

 Later that day we stopped and visited Grandpa Steve and Grandma Barb!

We decided not to take Layla to the fireworks this year. She has been getting afraid of loud noises (the air compressor, the shop vac, lawnmower...etc), so we didn't want to scare her or have her forever be afraid of fireworks;-) So next year we definitely will be going!

Summer Trip to Wisconsin!

We had a great time in Wisconsin visiting with family and friends!
We had a very long drive going to Wisconsin because of the holiday traffic. It took us an hour and half longer than usual....But through it all Layla was as happy as can be! She never cried once...we are so lucky to have such a great traveler! She would entertain herself with her toys...especially her blocks! Layla would make a cake with them and sing Happy Birthday to each one of us and family in Wisconsin...she sang it about 50 times!!

It was nice to have Daddy off for an entire week of work! The first week Daddy worked from the Chase in downtown Milwaukee and the second week he had off! We were so happy to be able to be home for the 4th of July and for Layla's cousin Joshua's birthday party! 

We had to visit the Zoo while we were in town! We went the day after we arrived...with Grammy and Grandpop! Layla calls it "Grammy and Grandpop's Zoo"

We were so sad that we were going to miss Layla's friend, Madyson's, 2nd birthday party:-( So we had a play date at Kids in Motion to celebrate Madyson turning 2!! The girls had a blast! It was great to see them...we can't wait for the next time!
