Update on Layla!

Layla will be 8 months next week!! We are enjoying watching her grow and become a BIG girl! I look at her in amazement everyday and still can't believe she is ours!! We are so very blessed. She is such a happy baby and laughs all the time!


Layla has been eating many more foods: shredded cheese, yogurt(not a big fan), wheat bread, puffs (loves them!), cheerios and chicken. Layla loves to feed herself. She has really mastered it in the last week.

Eating Cheerios...not sure yet how to pick them up;-)...but now she is a pro!

Last week I noticed that Layla is getting her first tooth!! You wouldn't even know...she is SO happy, but definitely drooling more and biting everything(which is nothing new;-)) She also has been pulling herself up onto her knees. Just yesterday I went into her room after her nap and she was holding onto the rails on her knees!! Today Layla for the first time pulled herself to a standing!! It was so cute to see her stand...she is so little.  
Layla is still army crawling and at times will fully crawl. I think she likes to crawl on her belly...she still can get around pretty fast!

Layla has been taking a bath in the big tub in our bathroom(with her baby tub) for quite awhile. She loves to play with her rubber duckies and splash Daddy;-) Soon she will be in the big tub without her tub....we are just waiting for her to master sitting on her own without falling over...she is just about there.

Grammy and Grandpop visit!

Last week Grammy and Grandpop Noel came to visit. We had a great time! Thank you for everything!! Layla is growing like a weed! We can't believe that she is almost 8 months old. While Grammy and Grandpop visited Layla had her 7 month shots (prevnar #3) and a flu shot. Grammy got to come along! We miss them already!

While Grammy and Grandpop were visiting they were such a big help!! It was so wonderful for Layla to get to spend time with them, they both bring her such happiness!

We went to the Alligator Farm in St. Augustine. Chad and I have always wanted to go, so we thought it would be perfect time to go.
