San Diego!!

I haven't posted in awhile because Layla and I went with Chad to San Diego for work. We stayed through 4th of July weekend and had a great time. The trip started out with Layla's first plane ride. She did GREAT:-) We flew from Jacksonville to Houston then on to San Diego. The first flight Layla slept the entire flight... the second flight was another story. She had her normal cat nap and then was up for over 2 hrs on the flight but she was really good. 

We stayed from Monday through Thursday in a hotel near Chad's work which was right outside San Diego in a beautiful area. We then went to a resort on Mission Bay in San Diego for the weekend, which was right on the water. The resort was very tropical. Although the resort had a tropical feel it was definitely cooler there. It was in the high 60's - low 70's which felt cooler for us Floridians!

These ducks followed Chad and Layla to our hotel room...they didn't want to leave;-) They live there!!

We went to the San Diego Zoo and it was amazing. There are so many animals there that I have never even knew existed. We had a great day! Layla slept for the first half and then woke up to enjoy the rest of our visit. We couldn't even get through the entire zoo...it was that BIG!!

We went and walked around Balboa Park during the day on the 4th. It is a beautiful park filled with museums, trails, and the zoo!

Father's Day

This was Chad's very first Father's Day!!! We had a great day. We went to Marineland which is in St. Augustine. It is right on the ocean and home to 9 beautiful dolphins. We got to watch them play with their trainers as we enjoyed the summer sun (it was pretty HOT). Layla loved looking at the ocean, it was her first of many to come!

 Layla loves her sunglasses...thank you Kelly and Rob;-)  We had to test them out since Layla and I are going with Daddy to San Diego for work at the end of June.  We are all so excited.We are staying through the 4th of July weekend. We can't wait to go to the San Diego Zoo!!! It is very sunny in California so Layla will need her sunglasses!

3 months!

This past weekend Layla was on her tummy and she rolled over!!! I couldn't believe it!!! She is also grabbing her rattle and shaking it and is starting to laugh..it is so cute.

Layla went to Dr. Pat's today for her 3 month shots. She got her second Hep. B and first Prevnar. She did great!!! We have finally gotten rid of the thrush, we couldn't be more happy:-) Layla is growing SO fast, I weighed her today and she is a whooping 13lb 14oz!! We will see what percentile she is at her 4 month checkup.
