Pre-Christmas Gifts!!

We leave for WI tomorrow night for Christmas!! We wanted to give Layla the presents from us before we left and she will get her gifts from Santa in WI;-) We had our first Christmas gift opening with our family of three!!

Layla also got a Christmas present from her cousins Matthew and Madison! Thank you!! Layla loves the phone!! The blanket is SO cute. Layla absolutely LOVES monkeys!! I have a feeling this will be her favorite blanket;-)

Layla's Room

This past weekend we decided that since we are moving soon we should remove the poem from Layla's wall. We took some pictures of Layla's first room for Layla to see when she gets older.

9 Months!!!

Holy cow has time just flown by! Layla is 9 months old!!!

Layla just had her 9 month check-up on Monday with Dr. Pat. We are sad to say this will be Layla's last check-up at Dr. Pat's. Layla and I are going to stop by the office to say goodbye before we move:-( We will miss Dr. Pat (she took very good care of Layla!) and everyone I use to work with.

Layla's 9 month appointment was a big one!!! She got her fingered pricked to measure her hemoglobin levels (iron levels), which where great at 11.1. She also got a vision screening and passed! Her least favorite part was getting her third and last Hep. B shot! Layla weighs in at 18lbs 12oz (50th percentile), her length is 27.3 inches (50th percentile) and she still has a Big head;-) which is 46.2cm (90th percentile). Layla dropped in her percentile for weight...she is right in the middle for weight and height. She definitely has been moving around a lot!!

St. Nick

St. Nick arrived yesterday morning! He stuffed Layla's stocking with some books, a baby music CD and a few onesies.

Layla with Santa!!!

Yesterday we took Layla to see Santa at the mall. We waited in line for about an hour and a half (considering Santa was 30 minutes late...not a good idea when you have a line of children!!!). Layla did great in line, she smiled a lot and enjoyed watching the older children. It was so cute when I put Layla on Santa's lap. She was smiling at him and loved looking at his very big white beard (which was real!).  We'll see what happens next year!!
